i talked to a trainer at 24 hour fitness and he was like: "doesnt matter how much cardio you do, your legs wont get any skinny one bit. the only thing that works is a healthy diet."

is this true????

what are some easy work outs to lose weight?
i go on the tread mill every day. i have been doing this like almost every day for over a year. for the past 6 months my body just stopped losing weight, and like platoaed. i dont have any other exercise equiptment. what are some other work outs i can do, that are easy and will not be difficult to do and will help me lose weight?

I want to loose 10lbs by February. I know Cardio helps with weight loss ( I have a tread mill and elliptical). What are some dieting tips I can use as well? I weigh 175lbs right now, the goal is 165lbs.

this is my plan, i am about 40 lbs over weight. starting monday for the first week i plan to cleanse my system. by eating lots of fruit, veggies, drinking water tea and just eating healthy over all. afther that week i plan to continue eating healthy and start walking on the tread mill for another week. the thirdweek i plan to start jogging and so on and so on. is this good start?

Hi my name is *jessica* im 12 years old i weigh 120 pounds im under 5 feet and all my friends are skinny. i don’t have low self esteem or any thing like that but i would like to lose 20 pounds and be 100. i feel sick as my body cant’ manage to carry around this fat no longer i love to excersize but my mom sold our tread mill because were going overseas.i lost weight fast and crazy on the tread mill but im homeschooled and don’t tell me to talk about it with my mom because all she will do is laugh and tease me. my sister weighs 130 pounds my mom 232 pounds. i am afraid im becoming like them ( my mom is very abusive ). what can i drink to lose weight fast.

Today I went to my first day of gym. I went on the tread mill for 1 k and I was soo tired and sweating alot. Sexy, I know-but whatever, I wanted to know how many k’s I would have to do to lose weight if I went to gym almost everyday, diet aside btw–and any other really effective weight loss machines at gym?

i recently started gym to lose some weight due to a wedding in about 3 months, so the gym i go to also has a swimming pool and was wondering which is better for losing weight. the thing is i love swimming and usually swim for about 80 minutes, and when i use the tread mill i run for like 30 mins and get tired then about 30 mins later i run for another 10 mins. so does anybody have any idea of which is better to shed some weight. thanks

I’m 5′5” and weigh 64,5 kg. I’ve been going to the gym four or five days a week since 4th March, and my routine consists of cardio work mixes with weights.

I change my routine every 14 days and am currently doing 10 minutes on the bike, 20 minutes on the cross trainer, 20 minutes on the tread mill and 2 sets of 15 repetitions on 9 weight machines.

Since I started I have lost just 2 lb. I have cut out all sugary drinks and "junk" food.

Weight loss/Training help professionals? pleaseeeeee ?

Ok i am 20 years old male weigh 199-198 lb and i used to weigh over a hundred when i was 18, i really dont know ho i lost that weight, maybe because i was growing up. well now i have been going to the gym 5 days a week for one hour of lifting weights, one day i’ll do chest/biceps.triceps and abs, then the next day i’ll do back/legs/shoulders. I think i do pretty intense training im trying to cut fat and build muscle i have noticed my weight is stuck at 199 and i started seein a little change in my chest area and arms, how long would it take me to see more results? its only been three months of me lifting weights..and by the way i recently bought a tread mill for my house and i’ll start doing cardio home then lift weights later in the day,…? is that a good way to do it i save time….please give me tips on what to do and see results soon, im tired of looking chubby.. i wanna look muscluar…thanks alot help me out =]

I am doing a biggest looser comp. in my local town. I am the smallest of all entrys, but I am 40 pds over weight. I am on wk 2 and was working out for over a month before we started. I probally work out more than all others who are competing, and I have followed the diet to a t! Yet, last wk my weight was the same as when I started and this wk. so far, I have gained a pd. I am doing cardio, interval training, weights large intervals small weights and also doing an extra half hour of tread mill at work! I always work out in the right heart rate range, but I am sustaining, and the bigger entrys are loosing like mad people!!! Like up to 8 pds the 1st wk! Any help would be great!!! I am so depressed w/ this right now, cuz I have worked so hard!!!

When i get home from school i do 100+ sit-ups and jog in place with weights for 10 mins?
then i walk on tread mill for half an hour.
Will i lose weight? I barely eat, just chew gum…it keeps me full.lol

Weight Loss Ideas for an Endomorph?

I have recently discovered I am classified as an endomorph. Laa-dee-daa. Great! Here’s the deal: I am hovering around the 200 lb mark (I have thankfully dropped 30 pounds in the last few months), hike 3 miles twice a week, do the ab machine and tread mill for 20 minutes 2-3 times a week, running and walking, and do some yoga at least once a week. I unfortunately have a desk job, but have cut down on fast food, swapping it for salads and whole grains, don’t drink pop (only tea) and am battling a cigarette habit. My problem is that my weightloss efforts have stalled over the last month, I haven’t lost any more weight lately and am sick of working my butt off for nothing. My husband is supportive and there is a history of thyroid issues in my family (but my Dr. says I’m fine). Is it time to give up and accept my body for what it is? Or does someone have good ideas for amping up calorie burning for endomorphs?

Which is better for weight loss: treadmill or the elliptical? ?

I realized that I burn way more calories in the elliptical (about 2x more!), BUT I feel I get more of a work out (meaning that I feel I have to work harder) on the treadmill. So which would be better for weight loss, the one that burns more calories or The one which my work out is harder but I burn less calories.

BTW: When I’m on the tread mill I go for about 30 min on speed 3.5 with short sprints here and there

I have been exercising 3 X a week for 30 – 60 minutes on a treadmill & burning 300 – 400 calories. I have been walking with weights too on the tread mill quite heavy ones but I am not noticing any change in 4 weeks. In fact when I weighed in it looked like I might be an oz heavier. I weighed myself on an electronic scale last time would this have made a difference?

I am thinking to just diet instead as the exercise is not only killing me but I am not seeing any results.
n.b. I am holding hand wieghts while I walk.

What are some good weight loss pills, that work good?

I am 15 and I make 16 on June 26. I am 5′10" and I weigh about 275lbs. I need to know If it was alright to use any weight loss pill to lose enough weight just to reach my target weight of 175-200lbs. I need to loose enough weight to get in shape to do alot of stuff in school next year in JROTC. After I loose the weight I would be used to exercising and eating right so I would not gain the weight back, well not all of it. Plus since I found out that I could lose up to 5lbs in one day just by walking on the tread mill for 1 hour about how much would i lose if i were using weight loss pills? I somewhat exercise now I just need a little boost loosing it faster thats all.

Do you need to sweat to lose weight or have a good workout?

I’ve been going to the gym for about 3 weeks, when I use the tread mill, it has a ideal heart rate of 118-126 for weight loss. If I stay in this range, I don’t necessarily break a serious sweat. I actually need to crank up to about 130+ to get a sweat going.

Also, I’m just speed walking in the weight loss range…..

FYI- I burn -300-600 calories depending on what weight routine I’m doing for the day.

OK so I’m getting a treadmill and i wanted to ask somthing

i weight 170 and im about 4f 9in and i was wondering how long would i have 2 run on the tread mill to loss at least 2 pounds a day?? can some one plezz help me?!?!?!?!?!?!?
