does doing cardio help with weight loss?

Lorena April 4th, 2012

ex. tread mill and other cardio machines.

i talked to a trainer at 24 hour fitness and he was like: "doesnt matter how much cardio you do, your legs wont get any skinny one bit. the only thing that works is a healthy diet."

is this true????

I think i do pretty intense training im trying to cut fat and build muscle i have noticed my weight is stuck at 199 and i started seein a little change in my chest area and arms, how long would it take me to see more results? its only been three months of me lifting weights..and by the way i recently bought a tread mill for my house and i’ll start doing cardio home then lift weights later in the day,…? is that a good way to do it i save time….please give me tips on what to do and see results soon, im tired of looking chubby.. i wanna look muscluar…thanks alot help me out =]

Does this sound like a good diet plan?

I’m currently re-starting an exercise and diet regimen after about 2 months off. I know that both are important for long term weight loss, but I find that when I exercise every day my body holds on to the fat much more than if I just restrict my calories.

I am thinking that this is because I restricted my calories too much to begin with. I am actually not in horrible shape, I do a decent amount of exercising, walking, etc, and I have a lot of muscle, especially in my legs, so I’m not totally horrible on fitness (but I could definitely do better). So now, I am planning on eating 2000 calories per day ( I weight about 270 currently) and exercising 60 (cardio) minutes 3x per week. I know that once I go down I will have to revise that, but I will do that as I need to. Does this sound like a good plan?

P.S. If you are going to post some answer about some magic pill you took, then don’t bother. I’m doing this the right way, and I don’t need to know about some ‘amazing pill’ that you saw on Oprah.
